Observant readers may notice this is a rewrite, done with a little prodding from someone who is kind enough not to leave well enough alone. I was so tickled with the results that I thought I’d share. It does feel a little summery anyhow.

Flash me those Do-Right baby blues
And fix the crack in my marble arch
If all you want to be is a workman.
If you want to come to my party in a suit,
Be a stranger.
Hold your poker face as I tie you to my train track
Twirling a little black dress like a handlebar moustache.
